At Asian Trade Rug Company's on-site cleaning facility,
we've hand-washed literally tens of thousands of rugs for over 27
years. The "wet-wash" process we employ is quite simple but
effective:
-The rug is sprayed front and back with treated water
-A special wool soap and scrubber are used on both sides of the
rug to remove dirt
-The rug is thoroughly rinsed
-A hydraulic press is used to remove most of the water
-The rug is then hoisted on a beam to dry in a climate-controlled
dryer room
Our expert cleaning staff has years of experience with special
cleaning situations as well... pet stains & odors, de-bleeding,
